5G Broadcast receiver profile for Europe released

The European 5G Broadcast Handset Taskforce, with members from the EBU and BNE, has reached a key milestone: the release of a 5G Broadcast receiver profile for Europe.

With standardisation largely completed and the first smartphone prototypes ready, this profile paves the way for a sustainable business model for 5G Broadcast and marks a crucial step toward its inclusion in the next ETSI specification.
