The final outcome of WRC-23 must be regarded as a success for the Broadcast Community. Policy makers from an overwhelming majority of countries in Region 1, including a united Europe, have emphasized their long term need for terrestrial broadcasting. They secured the corresponding priority for access to spectrum in the 470-694 MHz band, in the international regulations.

Looking forward, the terrestrial  broadcasting sector is in a favorable situation to implement its innovation roadmap.

This will benefit the 100 million European households who receive digital terrestrial television, and the European culture ecosystem which is linked to this important platform.
